Vicky Christina Barcelona

Vicky Christina Barcelona tells the tale of two young American women who travel to Barcelona for one summer. They meet a man who, after a while, they both fall in love with, but one more secretly than the other. Christina, is the more open-minded woman, who has a relationship with Juan Antonio, while Vicky gets married to her fiance in Barcelona. Christina is played by Scarlet Johasson (Lost In Translation), Juan Antonio is played by Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men) and Vicky by Rebecca Hall. Vicky and Rebecca have intriguing contrasting personalities, made even more interesting by the return of Juan Antonio's ex-wife Maria Elena, played brilliantly by Penelope Cruz. The couple and the ex-wife have a mutual love triangle, which is really quite original in cinema. The ending leaves you wanting more, and hoping for Christina to return to Barcelona one day to reunite her love.
